  • A tune up is a general inspection but no maintenance items are performed. It is essential just a visual inspection. Air Conditioner maintenance service involves cleaning your outdoor unit, clearing your AC condensate drains and actually performing actionable maintenance tasks to keep your system working well all year long.

  • For residential homes $99 during business hours 8 am to 5 pm and $149 after hours.

    For commercial locations $199 during business hours 8 am to 5 pm and $239 after hours.

  • We recommend servicing your HVAC system twice a year before summer and winter seasons. Also at least once a year is required to maintain your manufacturer’s parts warranty.

  • Like any other machine your AC system will last longer is you maintain it with routine service. Typically older systems lasted over 20 years. Then required manufacturing changes shortened the lifespan to 15 years. Currently we expect them to last 10-12 years. Make sure your system was registered for an extended 10 year manufacturer’s parts warranty and ask us about our extended labor warranty plans to be worry free for at least 10 years.

  • If your system was just running and now it has stopped and your thermostat is blank there is some short of power interruption to your system. Sometimes safety devices are used to cut power to prevent damage on a system that is malfunctioning. The most common issue is the AC condensate drain clogging during the summer. Give us a call for repairs or routine maintenance to avoid these issues.

  • Here in Texas we don’t use our heaters very much. Dust burning off the heater may be the reason for a burning smell when first turning on the heater for the season. If your heater is still letting off a burning smell or plastic odor reach out to us immediately.

  • You should replace your AC filter depending on the type of filter it is and the amount of traffic in and out of the space. If you have a 1” disposable filter we recommend monthly replacement. If you use a 4” media filter the recommended replacement time frame is 3-6 months. If you have a a fresh air ventilator, common in newer homes, make sure you have filtration for it replaced as well.

  • In order to address dust, first let’s find the source. It could be your air ducts are not sealed or your filter is clogged. You could have a drafty home. Whatever the cause we can help. Give us a call!

  • Improving your air conditioner’s efficiency lowers energy bills, extends equipment life, and keeps your home more comfortable. Here are practical steps you can take, organized from easiest to more involved.

    • Set a reasonable temperature: Aim for 78°F (26°C) when you’re home and higher when you’re away in the summer. Each degree higher can save energy costs.

    • Use a programmable or smart thermostat to automate temperature settings and avoid air-conditioning an empty house.

    • Close blinds and curtains to block direct sun during hot afternoon hours to reduce heat gain.

    • Keep doors and windows closed while the AC runs.

    • Use ceiling fans to help circulate air

    • Make sure your filters are clean.

    • Keep dirt, brush, and debris out of the outdoor unit and keep obstructions a foot away

    • Seal drafty cracks and openings around doors and windows

  • A humming noise from your outdoor unit could be multiple things. Most commonly your compressor is not starting. Could be your start capacitor if you have one or a power issue.

    High voltage electricity is dangerous. Call us your professionals and we can get you more answers.

  • Buzzing from your outdoor unit could be a bee’s nest or a bad contactor. To find out without putting yourself at risk call us, your AC pros nearby.

  • The inside and outside units are two separate machines. If one is not running it could be due to many reasons. Most common issues are bad capacitors, motor failures, or power issues. Stop stressing and give us a call so we can help get it running again quickly.

  • Your AC system is not cooling. This could be due to bad motors, a lack of refrigerant or just a dirty filter. Steps to take:

    1. Check the thermostat Mode setting is set to Cool and Fan is set to Auto.

    2. Make sure the filter is clean or replace it.

    3. Check that the outdoor unit fan is running and nothing is obstructing airflow around it.

    4. Try resetting your system by turning it OFF and then resetting the breakers.

    5. If these do not help resolve the issue reach out to us to get a technician out today.

  • Send the expendable one in the attic to check it out first. - Just kidding.

    A rattling noise in your attic could be your unit struggling to run. Your blower could be off balance or the blower wheel could be coming loose. Contact us for a thorough diagnosis.
